Moving out...

Well...
Last week I received my fridge and my stove and figured that... it's time to move. So this weekend I went to visited my family, got in contact with a couple of buddies and planned what the heck was I going to do this week. Sunday morning my sister received one of her friends at home and she came with her 7 months-old baby. Suffice to say, the baby was with me the whole time... he didn't want to be with anyone else! lol I guess babies like my beautiful long chin!
(Women should take notice dammit)...

Anyway, I planned and started moving out yesterday.
Stove ... works... check
Water heater ... works ... check.
Fridge .... works .... filled with beer... check.

Now, recommendation, DO NOT RENT A PLACE FOR YOU TO STAY THAT'S ON A THIRD FREAKING FLOOR!!!! THANKS!
Damn... I could just move a couple of things (a whole room) yesterday.
I thought I was going to do more.
I painted some uneven borders I had and that was it... nothing else.

Today, the "Screens" guy is suppossed to bring me my stuff. After that I'll buy a couple more things. I figure that by the end of the week I'll be living there.

Let's see...

BTW, last week at aprox. 12:25am Thursday I recorded another idea... I like the music and the idea for the song is not bad but it was not properly executed (i.e. NOT WELL WRITTEN). So I have a preliminary version (I already rewrote most of the lyrics) here:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=639185

The song is called: Uno, Dos y Tres
Description is on that page.
Lyrics are not there since I'll be recording the vocals again but the idea is there.

I also recorded another one after I finished that one! hehehehe But that is only for my closest friends to hear....

"Escondan a ....... " hehehehe WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ok.
That's all for now.

Park is no more..... :-(

My record of the year of 2006 was Park's "How to Build a Better _________".
An emotional rollercoaster carried by Ladd's great lyrics and the whole bands music interpretation. Definitely one of the best in my collection. Well, Park is no more.
The band broke up last week according to absolutepunk.net News section.
It's sad... I believe they were one of the better bands in the scene. RIP.

This reminds me of Penfold also, later known as The Moirai, a great band with great songs that also broke up.

Anyway, I didn't have anything else to post so I wrote this! ;-)
Bye

I had a dream last night,

and in my dream I was an astronaut.
Was flying high above the earth
and talking smack with all my friends.

Then I woke up...
and I had pissed myself!!!

hehehehehehehehe PSYCH!!
Just kidding...

So I was at work yesterday and got bored at about 3:45pm.
Since I had not written anything recently I started brainstorming.
Wrote a couple of verses (in English, Spanish, Turkish, etc.) but I wasn't liking much of them and then I started a search and I found this link:

(original link - don't know if it works, if not, check the cached version in Google) http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/archive/index.php/index.php?t-189367.html

Anyway it seems some guy I don't know identified with a song I have called "The Sad Song"! WTF?!?!?! I made that song in the Summer of 2002 if I'm not mistaken and it's basically my struggle to get someone out of my head, out of my heart and trying to find the strength to do it.

So ... why am I mentioning this? I thought: "Well, I haven't touched that song in a while, why don't I do that one in Spanish?" But then ... I wasn't THAT bored so I basically touched the same subject from another angle one that notices that the mind is a mess but you are more than aware of it and you just.... WAKE UP!!!

Desperte

Soy culpable de mirarte,
amar alguien sin razon.
Dia tras dia desearte.
Llegar al borde de obsesion.

Soy culpable de acercarme,
hacerte llorar y reir.
Solo logre ilusionarme
para luego verte partir.

Ahogado en sueño y medicina
olvide que te queria.
Ahogado en sueño y medicina
pasaron años de mi vida.
(vivi en la fantasia)

Y despues de tanto tiempo,
volvi a escuchar tu voz.
Abrazada de tus niños
me fui y te dije adios!

Y desperte, Si desperte.
Pero era muy tarde
mucho perdi nada gane.
Y desperte, Si desperte.
Perdi a quien puedo haber sido y no fue.

So this basically started with the first verse and the part about doing drugs and sleeping...
(BTW, when I talk about drugs I'm not talking about illegal ones!! :-p)
When I got home, I was still bored and fired up my PC.
I still had not used my drum software and my new sequencer so what better day to start using them?
Now, I have a problem staying on time with music.
I never practice with a metronome so when you put drums, I mess up. This is clearly evident in the song but I don't give a fuck! It's my song! I know I'll get better at it... maybe! ;-)
I'll probably re-record it later since vocals are weak also (recorded it at 10:00pm or so)

BTW, see if you notice the "gallito" while I'm singing! heheheehe I did not remove it because I'm lazy. If you tell me the exact time the "gallito" happens you win absolutely nothing!!

Ok, that's all.

If you want to take a listen, the song is right here:
