I have a Wii finally.
Although I didn't killed myself looking for one, it seems the system is still scarce.
The Wii-mote feels good and it is extremely responsive. I haven't played a lot but what I have sampled, is quite good.
Have only gotten into Wii Sports (love bowling) but I'll probably be getting other games like Zelda and Excite Truck in the future.

About Rincon's party, there was a lot of alcohol and our group had a good time.
I got to say though, I don't know if it is that I'm hanging out with too many drunks, but I got bored! Yep, I even wanted to go home to sleep or something... luckily the Biggest Cafre (Andres) started talking crap and stuff and I laughed so hard that I think I crapped my pants!!!!!! hehehehe

V-Amp 2 + EZ Drummer = Busy week!

Yesterday I got out of work at 4:30pm and I had in mind buying some new strings for my electric guitar (the only guitar I have that I don't use - hehehehe).

So I went to a local shop, Edgar's Music World, and got the new strings but then I saw the had something I've had my eye on for quite some time. It was a Behringer V-Amp 2, it's a modeler or multiple-effect box for guitar use. Since I don't have any pedals or effects (only the ones built-in my amp) I decided to purchase one... It was only $110, I thought it was going to go for more as music hardware here usually cost a lot more (and it is at $100 over any online store).
So I started testing it with my headphones and the sounds that come out of this thing is outstanding! I will definitely have to play more with it.

Now, I don't support piracy... all that much ;-) but I got the EZ Drummer software to see if I like it. Was going to test it yesterday but my neighbor wasn't at home (the copy it's on his laptop) so I believe that next week will be spend in front of a computer.

I've never been good with drums so I guess programmable drums is the only option for me!
I'll see if I can create some sound snippets and stuff with drums and my electric next week.

On other stuff, I'm going to Guayama this weekend and there should be a couple of movies waiting for me so my DVD list keeps growing and growing...

The bank still has not called me about my house.
Damn it! Who do they think they are?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Holy shiteeee...

I'm addicted to this electro-pop band called Belanova (from Mexico).
It has been messing with my head for over a month.
It's not the music as is, it's not really the lyrics all that much (the band is fronted by a woman
so some lyrics don't apply ;-) ), the thing is that I know what I like... it's the sound and much importantly the MELODY and Harmonies are related to emo and pop which I really like... I call this sugary pop! So this is one of their songs:

As you can see, there's not really much "meat" there (as in poetic structure, metaphors, blablabla) but when you hear the song ... holy ... I'm telling you... I'm completely addicted and this messes me up big time! I mean, I KNOW for a fact I can probably make a simple Piece Of Shit like this one and I'm not doing it! AAARRRRGHHHH!!!
Ok, maybe not quite as melodic, but as a whole, heck I know I can.

So what did I do?
I opened another account in which I'll put a % of my salary and for what?
I had mentioned that I was going to put things in perspective and get organized and I will do it.
This account will be to produce my own stuff in a real recording studio with real artists in the near future. I always said to my closest friends and family that I'll do something musically when I reach the age of 30. So this is one goal.

But damn... listening to this shit also makes me want to take that money and do something else with it!! hehehehehehe WOOOHOOOOO!! New Zealand here I come...

No more... and still, I listen to the song overall and it's done beautifully (at least to me). I got reminded of Mecano and Fey the first time I heard "Rosa Pastel", with the synths and electro elements. Simple music done perfectly and you add the "toe-tapping" element and you get good pop.

Great-grandma...

My dad called me today at work (pretty weird, he usually never calls) to buy some e-tickets
for my mother and him. It seems that my great-grandmother is still sick and they are going to
go visit her. My dad loves her like if she was his mom. I haven't (and will not) recognize my father's mother as my grand-mother, so that means that the only one left is "Maguela" so I hope she gets better cause I don't want to see her in a coffin yet (even though she is almost a hundred years old). And it's a weird thing also... my dad had a really rough time with them when he was young. In fact, my great-grand father hated my dad ... but in the end the only one who stood by them was him! It's weird... family, your own blood... you love, you hate, and despite all the bitterness you still stick together.

Speaking of family, haven't spoken to my sister in a while. In fact, I haven't seen her in more than a month. She did sent me her latest "Essay" and it's quite good. Actually that inspired me to start writing which is one of my resolutions this year.

Finally... as Cartman would say, "Excuse me guys, I'm going home..."

Heck of a way to start the New Year

I HAVE NO WORK TO DO!!!!!!!

AT least not yet.
It's going to come all at once when it comes, I know.
It's only the first week though so hopefully I'll get some packages to work and be busy
the whole year! WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

So ... one of my new years resolutions was to not get as depressed as last year. I think this can be worked out if I stop being such a pussy! So That's one thing I'll be working on this year!

Another resolution was to cut down on weight (at least 10lbs).
I think I can do this.
I think I can commit.

Let's see what else... wanted to start writing more.
Already found my topic regarding what I want to emphasize and a great example with an already established book (story) for easy understanding (not only for whoever reads it, but for me as well it is easy to deliver my ideas since I'm such a mess at organizing my thoughts).

I think those are a couple resolutions from the list I made.

Finally, ahhh.. this house stuff is a hassle.
Too much paperwork, so many things to hand out, sign, bla bla bla.
I'm going to go broke before February!!!
