Quite Dissapointed...

with the latest George Romero movie Land of the Dead.
Maybe I was expecting much more than almost a remake of Day of the Dead.
He took some ideas from his third film and applied it to this one.
Also, I thought we has going to apply much more social satire like
in Dawn of the Dead (and even more with the current political situation
in the States and what not) but I was mistaken! :(

Still, it was a wonderfully made movie and with a budget of "just" $15 million the effects, acting and quality are awesome. And since the movie already made $10,233,000 in its first weekend, maybe we will see more George's projects in the near future and .. that's goooooood!

This weekend I went to Guayama and reunited with my 9th grade class.
There were some people I didn't even recognized.
I took a couple of pictures so maybe I'll post them.
Actually, I will probably wait for this.
I have another webpage layout in mind that I would like to implement
(I'm already getting tired of the current one and the colors). So you just wait! :p

Well, I'm going back to work.

And for my friends that are planning a camping trip here, tell me how many are going as I don't want to be bored to death a whole weekend and there's the Mega palooza thingie that's calling my name. :p

Check it.

Movies - Land of the Dead

Yesterday I saw (for the 500th time) The Shawshank Redemption.
All I have to say is that this movie is one of the all-time best!
If you don't mind that the movie is set in the 40's thru 60's and
that the whole movie is shot inside the walls of a Penitentiary, you will
enjoy the best movie about pure love and pure friendship there is.
The movie just sucks you in. It's like watching a Documentary.
The acting is top-notch, the cast is perfect and I can assure you
that you'll cry like a Bitch (I know I did).

Today it's the premiere of Land of the Dead. As most of you know,
I'm an horror fanatic and George Romero set the standard with Night of
the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead. This one should please fans and I'm going
to see it today. I'm afraid that since this one is more commercial there
will not be a lot of blood and gore but who knows, maybe the MPAA wasn't as
stupid as they always are! ;) The movie set sounds interesting so maybe it can
give 28 Days Later and the Dawn of the Dead remake a run for their money.
I definitely have high expectations for this!

My DVD collection I think it's at 210.
I think I'll stop for now. I still haven't seen Highwaymen (with Jim Caviezel) nor King Arthur! Hech, I still have an old horror DVD (Unhinged and The Crazies) that I haven't seen so ... no more DVDs for a while.

Today I have to go to Verizon 'cause my telephone is acting up.
It doesn't receive calls, I can't make them baaaaahh!! It sucks.
I will pass all of the saved phone numbers to a spreadsheet or something
just in case it really fOcs up! :p

Well, that's all for today.
See you later.

Not using the word "HOSTIA" ;) Happy Fathers Day

To everyone (who is a daddy of course): "HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!"

If you still haven't kissed your father and have not told him how much
you love him do it... NOW! ;)

In other news, I went to my ex-housemate wedding yesterday.
I haven't seen the guy in more than a year. Haven't even talked to him
in all that time, haven't even met his now wife, haven't ... you get the idea.
It was good to see him. I wanted to make out with him but all his family was
there ... ;)
I took a couple of pictures so maybe I post some for all of you that met him.

Also, another ex-roomy also wed. Will probably post some pics from that as well
(I have been so fucking lazy lately with this page -- NEED INTERNET DAMMIT).

Finally, I'm going to see if I go to Centennial this week and install Cable at home. Also I need to buy some furniture. I hate coming to the apt. and seeing the living room empty!!! I probably take a couple of days off from work just to do this shit.
Also I need new glasses... BAAAHHH!!! and I want to buy a Mackie USB Device to keep recording myself on the PC... That's going to set my back a couple of thou.... Hmmmm.... oh well. :p

See you later.

P.S. I'll post a couple of "new" songs later. They are already uploaded
but I will direct you to them later.

Bye.

YEP!
Happy Birthday to me!
In only five days I will turn 25!
Holy shite!!! A Quarter Century.

It's been a little while since I posted something
but I really didn't have time. Too much work and no internet... well
no internet from Home.
I have to go to Centennial and get cable at my apt 'cause it's getting
boring sometimes and I know that if I get it I will not be spending so much
buying DVDs! My collection just keeps on growing. (I'll take a pic sometime :p).

Well, I don't want to keep on writing so see yous later! ;)
